Tours of Snug Harbor For Schools and Groups
Learn about Snug Harbor while taking in the beauty of our gardens and architecture. They range from 90 minutes to 2 hours.
Gardens Tour - Tour our four larger gardens while taking in the beauty of the Snug Harbor grounds. Grades K to adult
Gardens and Galleries Tour - An abridged Gardens tour plus a tour of the exhibitions in the Newhouse Center and The Winter Garden Gallery Grades 1 to adult
Historic Tour - Tour the Front Five buildings, the Music Hall, the Governor’s House and more, while learning the rich history of the Harbor. Grades 1 to adult
Poetry Walk - Observe the plants and wildlife of the Harbor and create individual and group poems. Grades 2-8
Sensory Walk - Students participate in activities designed to enhance their sensory awareness while touring the gardens. Grades K-5
Wooded Walk - Tour the grounds and search for evidence of the many different animals that live in, on or under trees. Grades 2-8
