Gallery & Garden Combo Ticket
Expand your visit to include all that Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden has to offer with a combo ticket that provides all day access to historical and contemporary exhibitions as well as the formal gardens. Combo tocket includes access to the New York Chinese Scholar's Garden, Visitor Center, Bldg C galleries and the Newhouse Center for Contemporary Art.

ACCESSIBILITY
Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden is committed to making its programs accessible for all visitors, and is working to make its galleries, gardens and facilities accessible. However, Snug Harbor is a 180 year old historic site and some areas present challenges to those with ambulatory disabilities.
Entrance/Paths

Three parking lots have designated spaces for visitors who are mobility challenged. Visitors in wheelchairs can enter all areas of Snug Harbor's campus, but must contact admission staff at (718) 448-2500 to enter the formal gardens, which includes the New York Chinese Scholar’s Garden. Visitors in wheelchairs are instructed to use caution when entering narrow, rough, uneven or steep garden paths.
Education Programs

Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden provides numerous learning opportunities for visitors of all ages. Education programs can be adapted for students with special needs.

Guided Tours and Public Programs

Tours with a dedicated guide are available for groups of 15 to 25 people for $200 for adults and schools/$150 seniors and Title 1 Schools. Considerations may be made for smaller groups. Guided tours are available for exhibitions and gardens to ensure that individuals with a range of abilities can experience Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden. Tours tailored to visitors with physical or developmental challenges can also be arranged. Call the Education Department (718) 425-3511 for more information.
Visitor Services

The Visitor Center and Garden Grille Cafe are all accessible by wheelchair. An elevator that provides access to the art galleries is also located in an Administrative Building, Building G, Shinbone Alley. Visitors must pay admission in advance at the Visitor Center in Building C to obtain access to elevator into art galleries.
Security 
Uniformed Park Rangers patrol the grounds and can help direct visitors to appropriate facilities and resources. Contact a Ranger (718) 816-9691, wait for a few beeps, then speak.
Restrooms 
Restrooms for use by our visitors in wheelchairs are located in Building G.

DIRECTIONS
Mass Transit
Take subway to lower Manhattan, via the 1 train to South Ferry or the 4/5 train to Bowling Green or the R train to Whitehall. Exit and walk south to blue neon Staten Island terminal to take FREE ferry. After landing in Staten Island take the S40 bus at Gate D to travel along Richmond Terrace, less than a 10-minute ride. By Car from New Jersey:
From the Goethals Bridge: Take 278 East or take the Outerbridge Crossing to 440 North, following signs to the Verrazano Bridge/278 East. Get off 278 East at the exit marked Richmond Road/Clove Road. (Do not take the Richmond Avenue exit). Take the service road to the first light, make a left, and follow Clove Road to Richmond Terrace. Make a right on Richmond Terrace and follow it until you come to Snug Harbor, which is on the right and marked by a black cast iron fence and magnificent pillared buildings at Snug Harbor Road. Turn right and you will see the entrance gate on your left-hand side. Follow the signs for parking.
From the Bayonne Bridge: take the first exit (Richmond Terrace). Make a right at the top of the exit ramp onto Richmond Terrace. The Terrace snakes around a bit, following the shore of the Kill Van Kull river. Go about 3 – 4 miles, you will see Snug Harbor on the Right. It is just past the Getty gas station and a little restaurant on the left called Blue that opens soon.
By Car from Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island:
Take the lower level of Verrazano Narrows Bridge; stay on the right, and exit at Bay Street. Take the Bay Street exit service road to Bay Street. Make a left and follow Bay Street past the Staten Island Ferry Terminal, where Bay Street becomes Richmond Terrace. Follow Richmond Terrace about one mile to Tysen Street. Make a left on Tysen Street, and then the next right on Fillmore Street, and enter the parking lot immediately to the left of the gated entrance. Parking will be right after the gate on the left-hand side.
By Car from Manhattan:
Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to BQE West. Verrazano-Narrows Bridge to SI Expwy (I-278). Get off at Clove/Richmond Road exit (#13). At third intersection, bear right onto Clove Road. Continue to Bement Ave. (will see a cemetery), turn right onto Bement. Continue to Richmond Terrace. Make a right onto Richmond Terrace to Snug Harbor. Make a quick right at the Snug Harbor sign and then a quick left through the brick gatehouse.
