Looking for new and interesting ways to introduce your students to environmental sustainability? Attend the NYC Compost Project on Staten Island Teacher Open House! Learn about composting activities that can be incorporated into a variety of curricula. The following special guests will be in attendance:
The Greenbelt Environmental Education Department, located at the Greenbelt Nature Center and High Rock Park, offers many ways to connect with the natural environment including class trips, guided hikes, Into the Outdoors programs, early childhood education programs, and a Summer Day Camp.
The Staten Island Zoo offers natural history and animal related programs that can complement your current curriculum.

Family friendly activities such as bouncy rides, food, entertainment, face-painting and resource tables will be available. The NYC Compost Project on Staten Island will be on hand to answer questions and provide information on indoor and outdoor composting.
