Accessibility

The Snug Harbor Cultural Center is committed to making its exhibitions, programs, and services accessible to all.  Snug Harbor Rangers are also available 24-hours a day to assist visitors.  We encourage visitors with special needs to contact the Business Office at 718-425-3540 to plan their visit to Snug Harbor.

    

Parking
D
esignated parking can be accessed through the East or West Gate entrances of        the Snug Harbor Campus.  Please refer to the Snug Harbor Cultural Center Site Map

            to determine which parking location is closest to your destination.

   

Wheelchairs

For access to the Visitor’s Center and all gallery spaces, a wheel chair lift is located in Building C, which is accessible through the Snug Harbor Ranger's office in Shinbone

            Alley.  Please refer to the Snug Harbor Cultural Center Site Map.

 

Accessible Pathways

Most paths on the Snug Harbor campus are wheelchair accessible. Because of the unique nature of our facility, which includes the Staten Island Botanical Garden,

            portions of the Cultural Center may be inaccessible due to rocky, muddy, and/or

            narrow paths.   For information about accessible pathways in the gardens, please visit

            the Staten Island Botanical Garden website where you will find information in greater

            detail.


            Service Animals

                Appropriately documented guide dogs and animals for assisted therapy are welcome

            at Snug Harbor Cultural Center.

         First Aid

              Visitor Services or Security staff is available to assist with First Aid.  In case of

            emergency, call the Snug Harbor Cultural Center Rangers at 718-816-9691.
